Tita Collective
– Friday May 10th, 8 PM

Théâtre Sainte-Catherine, 264 Sainte-Catherine East

The Tita Collective is an all Filipina collective of multidisciplinary artists based in Toronto: they are award-winning playwrights, comedians, musicians, dancers, theatre makers and actors. They like to explore different mediums to tell their story, the narrative of the Filipinx diaspora, to the world. Individually they are: AP Bautista (Disenchanted US Tour), Belinda Corpuz (Prairie Nurse), Isabel Kanaan (CBC’s Air Farce), Alia Rasul (JFL Solo Sketch/Characters Showcase), and Maricris Rivera (A New World Being Born). They recently won Steamwhistle Producer’s Pick at 2019 Toronto SketchFest and had a sold-out run of their most recent original sketch revue Tita Jokes, a project funded by the Toronto Sketch Comedy Project fund and the Pat and Tony Adams Freedom Fund for the Arts.
