FIELD TRIP (Boston)

Field Trip is a Boston-based sketch comedy trio whose sets have been described as “refreshingly positive,” “surprisingly touching,” “cured my IBS,” and “not for me.” Since 2022, they’ve been delighting audiences with their signature brand of fast-paced, smart-dumb humor. Field Trip does shows all over New England, and they’ve performed at NYC Sketch Fest, Portland Maine Comedy Festival, and the Portland (Oregon) Sketch Comedy Festival. PEACOCK 🦚 PEAHEN FAMILY REVIEWS (Montreal)

Jacques P. Coq and his mom Jacqueline P. Hen just love movies 🎥 ❤️. They each have their own review style and personal bickering style when they review together. Jacques loves to hate watch and nitpicks and doesn’t hide things well. Jacqueline loves to put movies on a pedestal and nitpick and criticize Jacques about when he’s going to move out. Together they make one functioning movie review person. They find more entertainment in the lives they live than the movies they watch and sometimes that joy matches. They love to disagree but they also love being part of this family.

GRACE AND THE GANG (Washington DC)

Grace and the Gang is a sketch comedy group run by Grace Fennell, an actor, improvisor, and writer based in Washington, DC. Grace and the Gang offers a unique brand of comedy that plays with a mix of clowning, situational comedy, and whatever dumb thing Grace thinks is funny that day.

THÉÂTRE SAINTE-CATHERINE – TSC

REAL LIVE DOLL (Montreal)

Melissa G. presents Real Live Doll is an adventure into the absurd. Melissa will bring your doll fantasies to life in this show… no, not those ones, the other ones. No, not those ones either. Get your mind out of the gutter AND DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE OF THE RIDICULOUS! #boioioioing Playing with dolls is fun! Especially, this doll. *wink* Melissa G is a clown, comedy show producer and artist, channeling her inner chaos, outwardly. She’s been part of Montreal Sketchfest, and improv festivals in Ontario & Montreal. Therapy? No need – she has comedy.

Real Live Doll PHOTO
POTATO POTATO (Toronto)

Potato Potato makes work about changing climates, both political and environmental. In a world obsessed with the US, Potato Potato shows the Canadian side of the story, throwing light (and shade). Part political satire, part sketch show, and with a generous dose of dread. This is a platform for the problems that terrify us and leave us feeling hopeless, an opportunity to discuss the things that get you in trouble at thanksgiving dinner, and a space to laugh at the things that make you cry. Prepare for bad impressions, heated debates and maybe even a song or two (or six!)..

BEACON OF HOPE (Montreal)

This year Nicky Fournier and Marty Graham are different. Known for their work in Pickle Party and Lil’ Strawberry Bitch these two smoke shows have been featured in OFF-JFL/Zoofest (rip), Montreal Sketchfest’s Best of the Fest Showcase, Big City Improv Festival (TO), Montreal Fringe Festival and graduated together from UCB’s Level 1 improv Intensive (with honors). THÉÂTRE SAINTE-CATHERINE – TSC

DOGGYBAG (MTL)

THE LAST COMEDY OPEN MIC ON A ROCKET SHIP (MTL):

The year is 2046, everything on Earth is (still) a garbage fire, and humanity has decided to pack it in for one last trip… into the Sun. To keep spirits up, one snappy passenger starts a WEEKLY COMEDY OPEN MIC in the ship’s cafeteria. Fast forward 5 months and 1 week into life hurtling through space… we’re at the final show before CRASHING INTO THE SUN. This STAND-UP/SKETCH HYBRID delivers cosmic puns, gallows humour, and something meta about how trivial and comforting it is to be funny while our planet rots/civilization crumbles. It’s balm for the reluctant nihilist’s soul…

In 2024 My Entertainment World called Anders “One of Toronto’s very best comedy performers […] Yates is as surefire as it comes!” and he didn’t even need to cut out anything mean to make that quote look good.

He looked up from his beer and scratched his big scraggly beard. “…Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time.”
“It’s Sketchfest,” we said. “We need you to come back and perform another set of one-man sketch comedy so that… wait, you haven’t heard your OWN name in a long time?”
“No.”
“Not even on the phone or like at the bank?”
“Nope”
“Weird. Anyway come do Sketchfest”
