Deborah Ring is a performer/writer who loves to play all kinds of peculiar people onstage. She has trained with the Second City Conservatory and Bad Dog Theatre in Toronto. She’s also studied at the I.O. Theatre, Chicago and the Upright Citizens Brigade, New York. She’s toured comedy shows across Canada and to the Edinburgh Fringe, performing with comedy troupes Disco Taxi, LadyBusiness and Die Mutter. She was also an official selection to a variety of comedy festivals with said troupes, performing in Atlanta, Washington, Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. She also recently created and performed the solo show TEAD Talks. In 2016, she won awards for the comedic short film scripts, “W for Whoaman” and “Nerves”.
People have sometimes said nice things about her and her troupes, she’s been called: “seriously funny”, “Ring is deadly funny”, and “sketch comedy was built into her DNA”.
